Boiled Shrimp
2 lb. shrimp, peel on
1 gallon water
1 lemon, quartered
¼ cup salt
2 Tbsp. Zatarain’s Liquid Crab Boil
Bring the water and seasonings to a rolling boil over high heat. Add the shrimp and give it a stir. Adding the shrimp will stop the water boiling for a little while. When the shrimp change color and start to float to the top, use a colander to drain away the hot water and run cold water over them. You don’t want to overcook. The shrimp should be in the water no more than four minutes, and maybe less.
