String Beans

1 lb. green beans, French cut

3 Tbsp. butter

Cavender's Greek Seasoning

You need a special cutting tool to process your green beans into French cut sting beans, and I don't know where to get one.  However, it is a 1" x 2" rectangle, open on the top and bottom, with little blades parallel to one another about 1/8" apart.  You push the green beans through the blades to get French cut string beans.  Anyway, once you have cut the beans, bring about 1/2" of water to a boil in the bottom of a large skillet over medium heat.  Add the string beans to the water and allow them to boil and steam just until the beans soften, but not so much that they lose their "crunch" (about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally).  Pour the beans into a colander to drain the water and return the beans to the same skillet over medium heat.  Add the butter and stir-fry until the butter is melted and the beans are well buttered.  Generously season with Cavender's and serve.

Our comments:  These are easy and good!  If you want to make it even easier, don't bother to French-cut the green beans.
